New resource: Sustainable Energy Access and Climate Action Plan Toolbox
Published: 23 Nov 2020
For signatories of the Covenant of Mayors in Sub-Saharan Africa (CoM SSA), the Sustainable Energy Access Climate Action Plan (SEACAP) is a key document to measure, plan and implement climate and energy action at the local level. In order to support local governments in developing their SEACAPs, CoM SSA is proud to present this new resource launched on the CoM SSA day at the Local Climate Solutions for Africa Virtual Congress.
Known as the CoM SSA SEACAP Toolbox, this resource was developed by ICLEI Africa in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The resource was launched on 5 November 2020 at the Local Climate Solutions for Africa (LoCS4Africa) Virtual Congress .
The CoM SSA SEACAP Toolbox compliments the existing SEACAP Guidebook and provides an easy-to-use, step-by-step series of presentations for each of the three pillars of a SEACAP, namely Energy Access, Climate Mitigation, and Climate Adaptation.
Please note that this Toolbox is regularly updated and a French version will be available early next year.
