According to the study of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by sector which follows from the orientation study of the energyclimate policy of the commune of Bouaké made by NITIDAE. The waste sector ranks third in GHG production after the building and transport sector with an estimate of 14,836 tonnes of CO2. In addition, the treatment of household waste remains a major problem among the population’s main concerns for the environmental question in general. This is why the NGO Citoyens Responsables initiated this project in order to contribute to the reduction of GHGs emitted by the sector and to raise awareness of the human impact on the environment and by ricochet on climate. This makes it easier for us to introduce the issue of climate change. In addition, reducing waste requires responsible consumption which will impact the production and exploitation of energy resources and raw materials. For the NGO Citoyens Responsables, the issue of waste is at the heart of climate action. Thus, by the treatment of waste we can go up the whole chain and lead to a world less voracious in resources.
