Currently, 65% of households in Garoua have access to electricity, but – due to power cuts – even on-grid households are still without electricity for 134 days a year. CoM SSA is taking action to improve access to clean energy, helping Garoua increase on- and off-grid energy production and extend the existing electricity grid to unserved areas. These concrete measures aim at increasing access to electricity for households in the city to 90% by 2030.
