New publication: “Measuring the impact of climate change in African cities. Methodological elements. Adaptation to climate change”.

Posted on : 29 January 2020

This new publication is the result of the work of ADEME, a partner of CoM SSA, based on feedback from African cities that are signatories to the Convention, notably Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Mauritania, Senegal and Togo.

Sharing the experience of the most active signatory cities makes it possible to illustrate in a very concrete way the actions that African cities can take in terms of adaptation to climate change.

It addresses the key questions that cities wishing to act in the face of climate change must ask themselves:

– How to organize a team within the city and which actors should be mobilized?

– What type of data should be identified and how should data collection be organized?

– What are the best practices for communicating about the diagnosis?

– How to obtain funding?

This tool is aimed at cities that wish to take action and implement actions that contribute to adaptation to climate change. Access the publication: here
